What is your role at Mid-Cape? Appliances sales from quote to finish, helping our customers select their appliances for their Cape Cod homes.
What led you to a career with Mid-Cape? After being in management for 10 years for Hinckleys, I worked with Tom Miller in sales for Nauset TV and Appliance for 6 years. Then I was approached by Doug Bohannon to work alongside Earle Caswell to beef up sales at Mid-Cape. So twenty years have passed and my second home is Mid-Cape.
Describe Mid-Cape in three words: Community, Team, Support
What is your biggest accomplishment at Mid-Cape so far? Product knowledge of all the different manufacturers, being able to help all our customers choose the right appliance at a price they can afford, and being competitive with the big box stores with better customer service.
What is something working at Mid-Cape has taught you? Being in retail for 47 years, I feel the customer signs my paycheck. I work for them building customer relations and loyalty.
So far, what has been your favorite memory at Mid-Cape? Getting together like this past holiday and meeting new people we never see or getting to know new faces of a growing company.
What does the Mid-Cape Experience mean to you? Customer loyalty, teamwork, and family.
What’s the greatest bit of advice a Mid-Cape team member has ever given you? You’re not alone. If you need help just ask. We work better together.
What is one important skill every person should have? Be a good listener. Customers appreciate that you have their backs and you’re in their corner.
What is one of the things on your bucket list? Taking my family to Hawaii.
